Buyer

The Buyer will play a critical role in helping us bring the company to the next level by helping to manage incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure that our design and deployment team has the right inventory at the right time and that we’re ensuring that dates are met to our customer’s expectations.

CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER

The Chief People Officer will play a mission-critical role in helping us to create and grow the teams of people necessary for us to be successful. You will help us to implement our “team-of-teams” organizational design, and you will lead the “Teaming Team” that is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training processes, HR administration, and organizational development. You will work directly with the CEO as an integral member of the Alert Leadership Team to ensure that the organization has the capabilities to execute the company’s vision and strategy, while also nurturing and strengthening the company’s culture.

Communications Driver Developer

The Senior Communications Driver Developer will play a critical role in helping us develop communications drivers and control logic for a state-of-the-art Material Control System (MCS) responsible for directing next-generation robots in an inventory management system. As a senior software engineer, you will be part of a talented team of software engineers focused on developing industry-changing solutions.

Controls Software Engineer

The Controls Software Engineer (CSE) is responsible for contributing to the sensing, localization, motion, and actuation of the robotic platform to deliver a robust, reliable solution with high throughput. The position requires taking personal ownership to design, document, communicate, implement, and test software components within a complex system.  The CSE must be able to efficiently apply first order solutions while considering a long-term approach in a quick and dynamic environment. The CSE will also work closely with a team of senior engineers to actively propose and collaborate on solutions.

Deployment Team lead

The Deployment Team Lead will have overall responsibility for the safe, accurate and efficient installation of Alert Innovation’s storage & retrieval structure at customer sites.  This position will perform the critical role of coordinating a combination of subcontractors and Alert Innovation employees in all job site activities from the receipt of components thru to the completed installation of the Alphabot structure.

Deployment test engineer

The Deployment Test Engineer provides highly visible customer support involving the installation, modification, repair and preventative maintenance of mobile robotic systems to ensure proper working order. As a Deployment Test Engineer you will need to isolate and resolve complex issues, and implement corrective actions. You will assist with the field training of new employees and may receive in-house assignments to develop technical support strategies, training, and documentation. This is an end user-facing position working under minimal supervision and requires travel throughout North America.

Electrical Designer

The Electrical Designer will help us develop and support our state-of-the-art robotic inventory management system. The job entails working with the electrical engineering team to develop concepts, build and test prototypes, and document designs.  The Electrical Designer will also work closely with Mechanical, Systems and Software Engineering Disciplines to define design requirements, develop concepts, complete designs and verification, transition designs to production, and support fielded products.

ELectrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will focus on digital design and verification to develop, simulate, debug, and test FPGA/CPLD designs. The designs may include motor control, soft processors, standard computer interface controllers (SPI, I2C, etc.), DMA engines, and sensor processing. As a growing startup we do not have a design verification team, so this the Electrical Engineer is also expected to simulate/verify and test designs in the lab.

Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics

Alert Innovation is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer with a focus in power electronics to develop isolated and non-isolated, AC/DC, and DC/DC, multi-kilowatt power supplies/chargers for our state-of-the-art robotic inventory management system. The candidate does not have to be an expert in power electronics, but must have a passion for power electronics, be willing to rapidly learn both independently and from consultants, be able to work mostly independently. Additionally, since Robotics is a multifaceted field and as a start-up Alert’s needs rapidly change, the candidate must be able and willing to help (design, test, debug) in other areas of the electrical design (mixed signal and digital circuitry).

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION LEAD

The Electrical Installation Technical Lead will have responsibility for the electrical aspects of the complete installation of Alert Innovation’s storage & retrieval structure at customer sites. This position will perform the critical role of providing the technical expertise required to ensure that the combination of subcontractors and Alert Innovation employees complete installation of the Alphabot structure in compliance with all critical parameters such that there is a defect free hand off to the Alert commissioning team. This position requires a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who cares deeply about their own and their team’s success and has strong technical, interpersonal, problem solving skills.  Due to the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the work, the right candidate will possess the ability to maintain order amidst chaos, adapt easily to change, maintain focus on the objective, operate with minimal supervision and thrive under the pressure of challenging deadlines.  This is an end user-facing position working under minimal supervision and requires travel throughout North America.

Electrical Technician - Contractor

The Electrical Technician will help us develop and support our state-of-the-art robotic inventory management system. The job entails working with the Electrical Engineering Team to assist with electronics testing, debugging, and prototyping. This is a temporary contract position with the potential for future full-time hire depending on company’s needs and contractor performance.

installation Squad Leader

The Installation Squad Leader will have responsibility for the mechanical aspects of the installation of Alert Innovation’s storage & retrieval structure at customer sites. This position will perform the critical role of providing the technical expertise required to ensure that the combination of subcontractors and Alert Innovation employees complete installation of the Alphabot structure in compliance with all critical parameters such that there is a defect-free hand off to the Alert commissioning team.

INSTALLATION Technical Lead (MECHANICAL)

The Installation Technical Lead (Mechanical) will have responsibility for the technical aspects of the complete installation of Alert Innovation’s storage & retrieval structure at customer sites. This position will perform the critical role of providing the technical expertise required to ensure that the combination of subcontractors and Alert Innovation employees complete installation of the Alphabot structure in compliance with all critical parameters such that there is a defect-free hand off to the Alert commissioning team.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

As the leader of a team, a team member, or an individual contributor, the Manufacturing Engineer will design manufacturing processes and implement operational readiness programs for Alert’s new product development process from planning through product launch. This position will perform the critical role of influencing new product design to ensure that it is optimized for manufacturing cost and quality in addition to meeting all specified requirements. This position will also support sustaining engineering projects including introduction and optimization through the supply chain and field installation.

Office Administrator

The Office Administrator will play an integral part in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the office are functional and efficient. Because a significant portion of our work happens in the office, you will directly contribute to Alert’s mission and goals by effectively managing the overall maintenance, upkeep, and supplies of the office and team and provide general office support. In order to be successful in this role, you will be responsive, flexible, and proactive about communicating with and determining the needs of the team members. 

Product DevelopmenT (PMP)

The Product Development Project Management Professional (PD-PMP) will play a critical role in driving the development and execution of Product Teams to deliver products on-time and on-budget.  You partner with Product Teams to help define and manage project plans and budgets for a number of concurrent teams, provide guidance as they execute the plan, be a communications channel between business stakeholders, and ultimately help the teams execute on their goals.  The PD-PMP will report directly to the Product Team Lead.  

Product Team Lead

The Product Team Lead (PTL) is broadly responsible for leading cross-functional teams who are empowered to develop robotic and automation system in a lab and bring them to market or improve existing products to better serve customer’s needs. To achieve this goal, the PTL will lead a cross-functional team comprised of multiple disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software development, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and quality. To succeed, the PTL will set the team’s vision and goals, help a team work together to solve new and tough problems all while creating a collaborative, fun, high performance environment.

Senior Controls Software Engineer

The Senior Controls Software Engineer (SCSE) is responsible for contributing to the sensing, localization, motion, and actuation of the robotic platform to deliver a robust, reliable solution with high throughput. As an experienced robotics software engineer, you have demonstrated passion for robotics and have extensive experience architecting and implementing object oriented, multi-threaded applications for motion control. The position requires taking personal ownership to design, document, communicate, implement, and test software components within a complex system.  The SCSE must be able to efficiently apply first order solutions while considering a long-term approach in a quick and dynamic environment. You are equally comfortable as both technical contributor and mentor in a growing multi-disciplinary team.

Senior Robotics Software Engineer 

The Senior Robotics Software Engineer (SRSE) is responsible for developing highly reliable multi-threaded code in a constrained embedded environment. As an experienced robotics software engineer, you have extensive experience architecting and implementing object oriented, multi-threaded designs on a robotic platform.  The SRSE can architect and implement the proper abstractions and interfaces that are needed to allow code to be highly de-coupled and cohesive.  The position requires taking personal ownership to design, document, communicate, implement, and test software components within a complex system.  You are equally comfortable as both technical contributor and mentor in a growing multi-disciplinary team.

Senior Software Engineer- Diagnostics

A Senior Software Engineer- Diagnostics will develop board-level tests and utilities to support high volume printed circuit board (PCBA) manufacturing, PCBA design verification testing (DVT), robot built-in-self-test/power-on-self-test (BIST/POST), and in-field system debugging. The software engineer will work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, software developers and Alert’s contract manufacturer to ensure tests have appropriate coverage, give insight into the likely cause of failures, are easy to use and integrate with Alert’s robot software application.

Senior Java Software Engineer

The Senior Java Software Engineer will play a critical role in developing business logic for a state-of-the-art Material Control System (MCS) responsible for directing next-generation robots in an inventory management system. As a senior software engineer, you will be part of a talented team of software engineers focused on developing industry-changing solutions.

Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the overall supplier quality of specific suppliers and material commodities within Alert Innovation.  This position spans both technical responsibilities and supplier quality management with a focus on managing and growing the capabilities of our suppliers to ensure compliance to Alerts’ requirements.  

System Electrical Engineering Team Lead

The System Electrical Engineering Team Lead will help us develop and support our state-of-the-art robotic material-handling system. The job entails overseeing the design of complex power distribution and control cabinets, cable management systems, and researching and guiding the team in electrical component selection.  While this is not a PCB design role, the right candidate needs the skills to evaluate the pros/cons of a custom circuit boards, and when justified, define the requirements.  We need manufacturable, modular, and scalable designs that minimize the work required for each new installation, so we can keep up with customer demands.

Technical Writer

Alert Innovation is looking for a Technical Writer to create technical documentation.  You will work with engineering and operations teams to gain a working understanding of the overall product functionality, and then learn how operators and technicians need to interface with the product.  This information needs to be distilled into instruction and maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guidelines, training materials, etc. As a company, we place a high value on the importance of written communication, and we would want to leverage your expertise in this domain to improve the writing skills of our team generally.
